"This restaurant was recommended to me by an Italian that has been living in Rome for 10 years. The quantity of the food is huge!!!!! For the price of one also the interior is amazing. There was a guy playing the guitar and singing. However, my vegetarian friend asked them to remove the meat from a dish and he said that its already in the mix which is understandable so she went ahead and ordered a vegetarian option. Overall the vibes are top I would highly recommend."

"What a lovely, family run restaurant. The staff was fantastic making recommendations, speaking both Italian and English. They were also so kind, no language barrier could hinder this wonderful experience. As many may have heard, the food in Rome has become very touristy but not at Da Carlone. This was the best meal we had. The plates are large the food is flavorful...I wanted to go back but didn't have time. The restaurant is off of a side street which I liked. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for the wonderful experience Da Carlone!"

"We always come here when in Rome. The portions are HUGE and delicious. Keep in mind that this is a LOCAL place. Each time we come here there is a different daily dessert. All great. Service is good too! The owner is very friendly, and his wife is the chef. Make sure to make a reservation in advance, as this place does get busy. My personal recommendation is the Carbonara."
